This sign commemorates the original friends of Sedgwick who helped ensure the preservation of this land as part of the Natural Reserve System. The sign reads as follows:
“Sedgwick Preservation Project
To commemorate the donation of these 783 acres of the historic Sedgwick Ranch to the University of California Natural Reserve System for research, teaching, and public education; and to acknowledge the cooperative efforts of the many organizations and individuals who made the preservation of this property a reality.
